Jeyhun Bayramov met with Pierre-Yves Fux in Baku

Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Pierre-Yves Fux, Assistant State Secretary and Head of the Eurasia Division at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, on April 15.

Axar.az informs that the meeting focused on the current state and prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.

The officials discussed bilateral political dialogue, cooperation in economy, trade, energy, and transport, as well as other issues of mutual interest, including interaction within international platforms and organizations. They also reviewed Switzerland’s plans within its OSCE Chairmanship.

The discussions also covered regional and international security, the current post-conflict situation in the region, Azerbaijan’s efforts to advance the peace agenda, and the country’s restoration and demining activities in its liberated territories.

On the same day, another round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries was held. The consultations were led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev and Switzerland’s Assistant State Secretary Pierre-Yves Fux.
