President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed his condolences to the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez.

Axar.az reports that the letter of condolence reads:

"Dear Mr. Chairman,

We are deeply saddened by the news of the massive loss of life and destruction caused by the heavy floods in the Valencia region.

In connection with this tragedy, I offer my deepest condolences to you, the families and relatives of the victims, all the people of Spain on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I wish recovery to the injured, and I wish that the consequences of the natural disaster will be eliminated as soon as possible."
