The absence of the Azerbaijani delegation from the CIS Economic Council meeting is a temporary situation, and the situation will normalize soon.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Secretary-General of the CIS, Sergey Lebedev.

According to him, Baku has not made any negative statements regarding the organization.

“They did not inform us, but I hope the situation will normalize and that Azerbaijan will remain an active participant in integration cooperation,” he said.

Lebedev expressed hope that relations within the organization would soon return to normal.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan declined to participate in the CIS Economic Council meeting held in Moscow.
