U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping may meet in early September in Beijing.

Axar.az reports that the potential meeting could take place on September 3 during a parade in Tiananmen Square. On that day, China plans to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

The Times reports that public calls have begun to emerge in China for Trump to attend the event. Prominent Chinese political commentator Jin Canrong stated:

“If President Trump participates in the September 3 parade, it would send a strong and positive message to the world. Seeing the leaders of China, Russia, and the United States together could be China’s most powerful peace signal.”

It is reported that Vladimir Putin is already planning to visit China in late August or early September and will take part in several official events during the trip.
