Azerbaijan continues fuel exports to Armenia

10:54

A shipment of diesel fuel from Azerbaijan to Armenia has been delivered today.

Axar.az reports that a train consisting of 16 wagons carrying 974 tons of diesel departed from Azerbaijan Railways’ Bilajari station bound for Boyuk Kasik station.

The cargo will be transported to Armenia via transit through Georgia.

The last such shipment took place on April 14, when 22 tank wagons carrying 1,298 tons of diesel were sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia.

In total, Azerbaijan has so far exported 7,610 tons of diesel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.

Fuel exports to Armenia began on December 18, 2025, when 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline were delivered.

Following a decision by President Ilham Aliyev in October 2025, restrictions on transit shipments to Armenia—previously in place since the occupation period—were lifted, and deliveries along this route have continued since then.
