Azerbaijan continues fuel exports to Armenia

10:54

A shipment of diesel fuel from Azerbaijan to Armenia has been carried out today.

Axar.az informs that a train consisting of 16 railcars loaded with 974 tons of diesel fuel departed from Bilajari station of Azerbaijan Railways JSC toward Boyuk Kasik station.

The cargo will be delivered to Armenia via transit through Georgian territory.

It is also noted that the last shipment took place on April 14, when 22 tank wagons carrying 1,298 tons of diesel were sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia.

So far, Azerbaijan has exported 7,610 tons of diesel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.

Fuel exports to this country began on December 18, 2025, when 1,220 tons of AI-95 automotive fuel were delivered.

Following a decision made by President Ilham Aliyev in October 2025, restrictions on transit shipments to Armenia—previously in place since the occupation period—were lifted, and transportation along this route has since continued.
