Ukraine's Irpin declared Ilham Aliyev an honorary citizen

The City Council of Irpin in Ukraine has awarded President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev the title of honorary citizen of the city.

Axar.az informs, citing Repоrt, this was announced by the head of the Irpin City Council and acting mayor Anzhela Makeyeva.

It is noted that since the start of the war in Ukraine, Azerbaijan has provided various humanitarian assistance to the country, including to the city of Irpin, on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev.

With the support of the Azerbaijani government, a lyceum and the city polyclinic in Irpin have been restored.

Azerbaijan has also sent 11 humanitarian aid packages to Ukraine amid the energy crisis.

In addition, more than 500 children from war-affected regions of Ukraine have been brought to Azerbaijan for rehabilitation.
