Over 4,000 Azerbaijanis listed as missing in wars

The number of Azerbaijani citizens missing as a result of Armenia’s military aggression has been updated.

Axar.az reports that 4,009 people have been registered as missing due to Armenia’s military aggression against Azerbaijan.

Of them, 4,003 went missing during the First Karabakh War and 6 during the Second Karabakh War.

Among those missing from the First Karabakh War, 3,221 were military personnel and 782 were civilians (including 71 children, 288 women, and 319 elderly people). Of all missing persons, 3,714 are men and 289 are women.

It was also noted that the identities of 226 missing persons from the First Karabakh War have been identified and their remains handed over to their families for burial.
