Azerbaijanis injured in Azov strike speak on condition -

The condition of two Azerbaijani citizens injured as a result of a drone attack on a vessel in the Sea of Azov is moderately serious, while the condition of the other two is normal.

Axar.az reports, citing АPA, Farhad Mammadov, chairman of the Azerbaijani community in Yeysk, said in a statement.

He said that he had visited the injured compatriots receiving treatment in the traumatology department of Yeysk Central Hospital, that some of their needs had been met and that their health condition was under doctors’ supervision. He emphasized that Azerbaijani citizens Rashad Madatkhanov, Samid Ibadli, Emin Valehov and Namiq Jafarli are under the attention of doctors.

Rashad Madatkhanov, the Azerbaijani boatswain of the vessel that was hit by a drone in the Sea of Azov, said that: "My condition is good at the moment. I want to tell my family that everything is fine."

Another injured compatriot, Samid Ibadli, said that the level of service provided to them is high: “They are taking good care of us. Azerbaijanis living here also come to visit us."

Emin Valehov, although injured, said that he feels well: “Our compatriots are not leaving us alone; they are checking on us and visiting us. The service provided is also good.”

Another injured citizen, Namiq Jafarli, also expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani state, the embassy, and the diaspora for the attention shown to them.

The injured Azerbaijani citizens also said that their condition is normal and that their treatment in the hospital is continuing. They noted that representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Yeysk and staff of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia had visited them and inquired about all their needs.

It was reported that the Azerbaijani citizens are expected to be discharged from the hospital on the first day of next week. However, because they do not have their documents with them (their documents were lost on the vessel during the drone attack – ed.), their discharge may be delayed for some time.

It was noted that the Azerbaijani embassy is working on providing its documents.
