Bodies of Azov Sea strike victims returned to Azerbaijan

The bodies of Azerbaijani citizens who died after vessels were attacked in the Sea of Azov have been repatriated.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

The remains of four Azerbaijani citizens who were killed as a result of a drone attack on cargo ships in the Sea of Azov were brought back to the country on June 10.

“We express our deepest condolences to the families and relatives of our compatriots who lost their lives in this tragedy,” the MFA said.

It is noted that, according to information released by the Azerbaijani MFA, on June 5 drone attacks in the Sea of Azov targeted the cargo vessels “Natra” and “Zirkon,” which carried 25 Azerbaijani citizens. Four of them were injured, while four were killed.

It was also stated that the mentioned vessels do not belong to the Azerbaijani state.
