Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, who is on a working visit to Tashkent, met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Axar.az reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, the sides expressed satisfaction with the successful development of Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations based on strategic partnership and alliance.

President Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude for the greetings and asked to send his regards to the Azerbaijani president.

The meeting focused on prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economic affairs, investment, transport and logistics, energy, humanitarian cooperation, and other areas.
