Critical meeting between Russia and Azerbaijan

Deputy Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia Yalchin Rafiyev and Sergey Vershinin discussed the climate agenda before the COP29, which will be held in Baku in November.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia on the results of the meeting held within the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

"Also, the current issues of the UN "Summit for the Future" summit held in New York, as well as the main principles of the "Future Pact" approved at the meeting were discussed in this context. The development of environmental and energy cooperation in accordance with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was noted," the Russian MFA noted.
