In June 2025, Azerbaijan will host the International Conference "Synergy for Sustainable Forestry and Biodiversity: Collaborative Dialogue for a Green World".

Axar.az informs that, citing APА, the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vugar Karimov, said this during his speech at the COP29 event entitled "Connection between Climate and Biodiversity: Integrated Solutions for a Sustainable Future".

He noted that the event will bring together scientists, environmentalists, politicians, international organizations, private sector and civil society representatives to discuss global challenges in the field of forestry and biodiversity:

"We invite all interested parties to participate in this conference. Together, we will work to solve the challenges of countries with low forest cover, promote innovative solutions that contribute to global sustainability, and strengthen partnerships. The conference will be an important platform for sharing best practices and developing cooperation for a greener future.”
