On December 17, Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited the grave of the National Leader and the Martyrs' Alley.
Axar.az reports that Rustam Minnikhanov first arrived at the Alley of Honor, where he respectfully commemorated the memory of our National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, and laid a wreath at his grave.
The memory of the National Leader's wife, the prominent ophthalmologist-academician Zarifa Aliyeva, was also respectfully honored, and fresh flowers were placed on her grave.
Later, the head of Tatarstan visited the Martyrs' Alley and respectfully commemorated the memory of the heroic sons of the motherland who sacrificed their lives in the fight for the freedom and sovereignty of our country, placing a wreath at the "Eternal Flame" monument.
The guest, who observed the view of the capital from the highest point of Baku, was given detailed information about the history of the Martyrs' Alley and the ongoing restoration and construction works in the city.
