The national Greco-Roman wrestling team has successfully defended its title at the European Championships held in Tirana, the capital of Albania, winning 2 gold and 3 bronze medals and finishing first overall with 133 points.
Axar.az reports that Turkiye placed second with 121 points, while Georgia came third with 118 points.
The medal-winning wrestlers in the national team are Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg), Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg), Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg).
It is noted that the European Championships will conclude on April 26.
