Azerbaijan women secure away win over North Macedonia

The Azerbaijan women’s national football team played its final match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijan, competing in Group 3 of League C, faced North Macedonia away from home.

The match, held at the Petar Milosevski Stadium in Bitola, ended in a 3–1 victory for Azerbaijan.

The goals were scored by Kristina Bakarandze in the 8th minute, Mane Mollayeva in the 28th minute, and Nigar Mirzaliyeva in the 37th minute.

Hungary finished top of the group with 16 points, while Azerbaijan placed second with 12 points. North Macedonia ended third with six points, and Andorra finished fourth with one point.
