Shakira sets FIFA World Cup performance record

Colombian singer Shakira has become the first artist in history to perform at four FIFA World Cups.

Axar.az reports that the global pop star has appeared at World Cup events in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2026.

On June 11, Shakira performed the official 2026 FIFA World Cup anthem, “Dai Dai,” alongside Nigerian singer Burna Boy during the tournament's opening ceremony at Mexico City's Estadio Azteca.

With the performance, Shakira set a new record as the first and only artist to take part in four separate FIFA World Cup ceremonies.
