At 15:29 local time, an earthquake was registered in Armenia, 44 km north of Heydarabad station.
Axar.az reports this was reported by the Republican Seismological Service Center (RSSC).
The magnitude of the earthquake was 4-3 in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The epicenter was reported at a depth of 10 km, 8 km from Yerevan. The magnitude of the earthquake was 6-7 in the epicenter and 5-6 in Yerevan. The population panicked and took to the streets.
The Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations said the quake had a magnitude of 4.7 in Yerevan.
