Azerbaijani boxer Amina Taghi (50 kg) won the gold medal in the final of the European Junior Championship held in Novi Pazar, Serbia, defeating Armenian Amest Afrikyan.

Axar.az reports that she defeated her opponent with a score of 4:1 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 27:30, 30:27) and climbed to the top of the podium, and the Azerbaijani anthem was played in her honor in Novi Pazar.

Among our other female boxers, Jamila Muradli (52 kg), Fidan Bekarova (63 kg), Sema Abbasova (66 kg) won silver medals, Aylin Nazarova (46 kg), Guler Huseynova (48 kg), and Zahra Mammadova (54 kg) won bronze medals.

Thus, our women's national team finished the European Championship with 1 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

On the sixth day of the competition, Safdar Mammadzade (+80 kg) made it to the final. He defeated Kirill Zhukovsky from Belarus in the semifinals with a clear advantage. Mammadzade will fight against Bogdan Smolkin from Russia in the decisive match.

It should be noted that earlier, among our male boxers, Qardash Rahimov (46 kg), Mahammad Rasulov (50 kg), Raul Heydarli (54 kg), Shahin Aslanli (60 kg), and Hagverdi Hasanov (63 kg) won bronze medals.
