Former MP Vardan Vardanyan from the “Prosperous Armenia” faction of the Armenian parliament has been detained.

Axar.az reports the information was released by the Armenian Anti-Corruption Committee.

It was reported that a criminal case has been opened against Vardanyan on charges of money laundering and abuse of official powers.

Two other individuals were also detained along with him.
