Accusations from several European countries of alleged violations of Polish airspace by Russian drones are an attempt to derail a political settlement of the Ukraine conflict.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated this in a statement.

“Of course, the explanations provided by the Russian Defense Ministry and the facts presented are being ignored. This is clearly another link in a large-scale information campaign aimed at demonizing Russia, mobilizing additional support for the Kyiv regime, and attempting to derail a political settlement of the conflict around Ukraine,” the diplomat said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson added that Poland’s categorical refusal of the consultations proposed by the Russian Defense Ministry regarding the drone situation shows the “collective West’s complete lack of interest in establishing the true picture of the incident.”

Zakharova noted that such situations are repeated “like a carbon copy.” She pointed out that despite the absence of clarity, investigation, or evidence, Russia has already been declared guilty. She said the accusations of deliberate escalation are baseless and no specific facts supporting the alleged malicious intent have been provided.
