A crash during the Formula 2 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku forced the race to be suspended.

Axar.az informs the event was halted after officials raised the red flag following the incident.

Rodin Motorsport driver Amaury Cordeel’s car struck the barrier.

Notably, as part of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2025, the Formula 2 qualifying session has begun in Baku.

Earlier, the Formula 1 Free Practice session ran from 12:30 to 13:30, followed by the Formula 2 qualifying session at 14:00. The second Formula 1 Free Practice session will take place at 16:00.

The qualifying session of the Formula 2 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku has concluded.

According to Report, Jack Crawford of DAMS Lucas Oil secured first place.

Leonardo Fornaroli from Invicta Racing finished second, while Gabriele Mini of Prema Racing claimed third.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will wrap up on September 21.
