Earthquake prompts evacuations in Almaty

Several major shopping malls in Almaty, Kazakhstan, were evacuated following an earthquake.

Axar.az informs according to local media, a 3.8-magnitude quake was recorded about 9 kilometers from the city.

Residents received mobile alerts advising them to leave their homes as a precaution.

Although the tremor was barely felt, some people still went outside.
