Pezeshkian will head to US on Tuesday

President Masoud Pezeshkian will depart for New York in the coming days to address world leaders at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Axar.az informs, citing IRNA, Mehdi Sanaei, a political advisor to Pezeshkian made the announcement on Sunday on his X account.

He said President Pezeshkian will head to New York on Tuesday after ringing the school bell to mark the start of the new academic year across Iran.

According to the advisor, Pezeshkian is set to deliver his speech at the UNGA on Wednesday morning Tehran time.

Pezeshkian is also scheduled to hold separate talks with the UN secretary general and officials from other countries, and hold meetings with think thanks and Iranians residing in the US, Sanaei said.
