A 6.1-magnitude earthquake has been recorded in Kamchatka.

Axar.az informs citing Kamchatka branch of the United Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

According to seismologists, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 25 kilometers.

The natural disaster occurred about 180 kilometers east of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Another earthquake measuring 5.3 magnitude has struck Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula.

The quake’s epicenter was located about 177 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 17.4 kilometers.
