Camilo Duran receives first Colombia call-up

Camilo Duran, who joined Celtic from Qarabag this summer, has received his first-ever call-up to the Colombia national team.

Axar.az reports that Celtic head coach Martin O’Neill announced this at a press conference.

Explaining why Duran did not take part in the team’s latest training session, he said:

“He had to go to London because of his visa. He has been called up to the Colombia national team, and this morning was the only time he could sort it out.”

Colombia will play friendly matches against Mexico, Paraguay and Peru in September and October.

It should be noted that Duran, already one of Celtic’s key players, has scored six goals and provided three assists in his first 10 appearances for the Scottish club. Last season, he scored five goals for Qarabag in the UEFA Champions League.
