President Ilham Aliyev spoke about violations of international law while receiving security officials of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on September 17.

Axar.az reports, citing АPA, that the head of state said: "Azerbaijan faced this for 30 years. We had to restore our rights on the battlefield. However, if international mechanisms had worked and the UN system had functioned properly — incidentally, I also spoke about this during my brief remarks within the framework of the SCO, as the topic concerned the UN and international organizations — we would not have been forced to reclaim our territories by force, and there would not have been so many casualties."
