China intends to strengthen international cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of artificial intelligence and exchange expertise.

Axar.az reports, citing Teleqraf, that Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei made the remarks at a press conference.

The ambassador said that China and Azerbaijan, both countries of the Global South, share similar positions on global governance issues, including artificial intelligence.

She noted that Azerbaijan supports China's initiatives in this field and participates in an international cooperation platform established to build capacity in artificial intelligence.

Lu Mei added that Azerbaijani representatives had repeatedly attended seminars and events in China to exchange expertise.

She stressed that cooperation between the two countries in artificial intelligence offers mutual benefits and broad prospects, adding that China is ready to share its experience with Azerbaijan and work together in this area.
