Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna will visit Baku later this month to officially open Estonia's embassy in Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that Tsahkna announced the upcoming visit in a post on X, following the fourth meeting of the Estonia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation.

He said bilateral relations had entered a new phase and highlighted growing cooperation in trade, innovation, digital affairs, energy, education and tourism.

"In recent years, our bilateral relationship has entered a new phase. Azerbaijan remains an important partner for Estonia in the South Caucasus, while growing numbers of Estonian companies are exploring opportunities in the local market.

Today, we reaffirmed our commitment to deepening cooperation across trade, innovation, digital affairs, energy, education and tourism," Tsahkna wrote.
