Kazakhstan, Armenia discuss TRIPP corridor development

Kazakhstan and Armenia have discussed prospects for developing the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) transport corridor, including the possibility of linking it to the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).

Axar.az reports, citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport, that the issues were discussed during meetings held as part of Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Asel Zhanasova’s working visit to Armenia.

Zhanasova met with Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. The main topics included TRIPP’s transit opportunities for Kazakhstan, the development of the route and its integration into international transport and logistics networks.

The development of the TRIPP route could create additional opportunities for Kazakhstan to strengthen its position in the Eurasian transport and logistics system. The project is expected to contribute to the diversification of international transport corridors, attract additional cargo flows and expand logistics links across the region.
