Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson resigns

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has resigned.

Axar.az reports that he shared his resignation letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament on his X account.

The resignation came after the prime minister’s political party lost the parliamentary elections.

Opposition parties won 176 seats in parliament, while Kristersson’s ruling right-wing bloc secured 173 seats.

It should be noted that the Swedish parliament has 349 seats.
