Bruno Le Maire resigns as France’s defense minister

Former French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire has resigned from his post shortly after being appointed Defense Minister in the new government.

Axar.az reports that Le Maire announced this on the X social network.

He said that his decision was made after criticism from the opposition. The decision to resign is aimed at facilitating negotiations on the formation of the French government. The president has accepted his resignation.

It should be noted that on October 6, French Prime Minister Sebastien Le Corneaux also resigned. He became the fifth prime minister to resign in the last three years.
