New details of US President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to Israel.
Axar.az reports, citing Times of Israel, according to the Channel 12 television network, Trump will land at Ben Gurion Airport shortly after 9 a.m. on Monday, where he’ll be welcomed with a formal ceremony.
From there, Trump will head straight to the Knesset in Jerusalem to deliver a speech before the start of the Simchat Torah holiday, which begins on Monday evening.
The visit, organized after the signing of a ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, will be a brief one, Channel 12 reports. Following his speech at the Israeli parliament, the US president will return to the airport for departure.
The outlet states that the visit will be shorter than had originally been hoped, as Trump will be arriving on Monday rather than on Sunday, due to the logistics of organizing the trip at such late notice.
If the report is accurate, it means Trump will not have time to stop by Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, despite the families of the hostages hoping that he would do so.
