5 clergymen taken to Yerevan Investigative Department

Five clergymen in Armenia have been taken to the Yerevan Investigative Department.

Axar.az informs, citing Armenian media, they are: Fathers Paren, Manuk, Hayk, Mkrtich, and Ghevond, as well as several civilians.

Last night, senior clergymen from the Diocese of Aragatsotn of the Armenian Apostolic Church were taken to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

Also, according to our information, the home of Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, Primate of the Diocese of Aragatsotn, was searched, after which he was taken to the Investigative Committee.

As reported earlier, the primate of the Diocese of Aragatsotn is the nephew of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II.
