Russian officer who fought against Ukraine blown up

In the Kemerovo region, Russia, a car was blown up in which police lieutenant colonel Veniamin Mazzerin, commander of the OMON Obereg special forces unit of the Russian Guard, was traveling, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

Axar.az informs, RBC-Ukraine, Mazzerin was one of the war criminals involved in mass killings, torture, and crimes against the civilian population in the Kyiv region during the occupation of the region by Russian troops in February-March 2022.

It was his unit, the OMON Obereg, that participated in punitive operations, particularly in Bucha and the surrounding villages.

Back in April 2022, Ukrainian intelligence identified the war criminals from Obereg by name and planned measures aimed at bringing those on the list to justice.

The explosion that occurred on October 25, 2025, was another signal that those guilty of crimes against Ukrainians will not escape punishment.
