Six journalists detained in Turkiye over 'Imamoglu case'

Six journalists in Turkiye were taken from their homes to a police station early this morning to give statements.

Axar.az informs Turkish media reported that the detained journalists are Aslı Aydıntasbas, Ruşen Cakir, Soner Yalcin, Saban Sevinc, Yavuz Oghan, and Batuhan Colak.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office said the journalists are being questioned in connection with the “Imamoglu case.” They are suspected of spreading false information and aiding a criminal organization.

It was also noted that Yavuz Oghan serves as the communications coordinator for the CHP.

Repоrts say the journalists’ mobile phones were confiscated, and no arrest warrants have been issued so far.
