Zelensky is losing touch with reality

Ukraine is facing a deepening political and military crisis as President Volodymyr Zelensky loses support at home while the country struggles with severe Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure.

Axar.az, citing The Telegraph, reports that a major corruption scandal has emerged involving members of Zelensky’s inner circle, accused of stealing $100 million from air-defence construction projects.

The scandal erupted just as Zelensky travelled across Europe signing multi-billion-dollar arms deals for French Rafale jets, Swedish Gripen fighters, and Greek LNG imports — agreements critics say Ukraine cannot afford due to a massive $60 billion budget deficit.

Zelensky’s attempts to limit investigations by the anti-corruption bureau have further damaged his credibility, and trust in his leadership has reportedly fallen to 20%.

Some MPs are calling for the resignation of his chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, while activists warn that Ukraine’s defence is collapsing as Russia advances toward key cities. Observers say Zelensky’s actions reflect desperation at a time when Ukraine’s funds, military strength, and political unity are all under severe strain.
