Two soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army were killed, and others were injured early today following a treacherous attack by the SDF on army positions in the Maadan area of Raqqa countryside.

Axar.az informs, citing SANA, the army responded to the attack and drove out the assailants.

The Media and Communication Department of the Ministry of Defense told SANA that the SDF struck Syrian Arab Army positions in Maadan after midnight, seizing several sites after intense shelling with various weapons, resulting in the deaths and injuries of soldiers.

It added that Syrian forces launched a direct counterattack, regained control of the positions, and expelled the attacking forces.

The Ministry of Defense’s Media and Communication Department held the SDF responsible for this treacherous attack, which has been occurring almost daily against Syrian army positions.
