The Benin Republican Guard has detained those involved in an attempted coup.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by 24 Heures au Benin.

“There has been no coup in Benin. The rebel group that announced the overthrow of President Patrice Talon is now in the hands of the Republican Guard. The national television station seized by the rebels to destabilize the situation has been freed,” the report said.

It should be noted that on the morning of December 7, Benin Republic soldiers announced via national television that they had carried out a coup and removed President Patrice Talon from office.
