Kazakh President meets visiting Iranian counterpart

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev, has officially welcomed his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Astana.

Axar.az informs an official welcoming ceremony hosted by President Tokayev for Pezeshkian, following the ceremony, a bilateral meeting between the two presidents commenced.

This will be followed by a joint meeting of the high-ranking delegations from both countries.

During his stay, Pezeshkian will also visit Kazakhstan’s medical university, deliver a speech, and take part in a joint business forum involving traders and entrepreneurs from both sides.

The president will leave Kazakhstan for Turkmenistan on the second leg of his trip to Central Asia.

Pezeshkian has been invited by Turkmenistan’s President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to attend the World Peace and Trust Forum in Ashgabat.
