UN Chief condemns Hanukkah shooting in Sydney

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned the shooting that took place during the Hanukkah holiday in Sydney, in which 12 people were killed.

Axar.az reports that Guterres wrote about this on the X social network.

"I am shocked and strongly condemn the horrific attack against Jewish families gathered in Sydney to celebrate Hanukkah. On the first day of Hanukkah - a holiday where the miracle of peace and light defeats darkness - my thoughts are with the Jewish community around the world," the post said.

It should be noted that 12 people were killed in a shooting that took place during the Hanukkah Jewish holiday held on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, today.
