Putin and Erdogan discuss sensitive issues in Ashgabat

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed very sensitive issues during their talks in Ashgabat on December 12.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov said that it is difficult to precisely regulate the time when discussing such issues. According to him, the meeting in Turkmenistan lasted about 1.5 hours in total.

“Usually, very sensitive issues are discussed during such talks, and it is very difficult to control the time,” Peskov noted.

He added that Putin was scheduled to meet with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif later that day, and therefore, the meeting schedule was quite tight.

“Thus, there is a lack of time on all sides,” Peskov emphasized.

It should be noted that Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, after waiting for Putin for 40 minutes, violated protocol and entered the room where Putin and Erdogan were meeting.
