UN chief calls for release of staff detained by Houthis

The previous day, 10 UN staff members were unjustly detained by the Houthi de facto authorities.

Axar.az reports that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, speaking about this, called for the unconditional release of all staff members.

The Secretary-General said that as a result of such incidents, access to vital humanitarian assistance for millions of people in need is limited.

It should be noted that the number of UN staff members detained by the Houthis has reached 69.
