Two foreign footballers deported from Azerbaijan first league

Two foreign players in Azerbaijan’s First League have been deported due to unpaid fines.

Axar.az informs the players are African-born French citizens — 20-year-old Senegalese goalkeeper Matiss Morville and 22-year-old left-winger Noa Lobedir — who both play for “Jabrayil.” Both signed contracts with the club on September 1.

The State Migration Service fined each player 400 manat. As the fines were not paid, both were deported.

Eighteen-year-old Ghanaian Kwaku Adcey, recently transferred to “Shahdag Gusar,” was also at risk. However, the club paid his fine, preventing his deportation.
