Iraq extends airspace closure until March 22

Iraq has extended the closure of its airspace for another 72 hours, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced.

Axar.az reports, citing Iraqi News, the restriction, which affects all incoming, outgoing, and transit flights, went into effect Thursday at 12:00 p.m. and will remain until Sunday, March 22, at the same time.

The airspace closure, originally imposed on February 28 due to regional security concerns, has disrupted commercial flights and forced airlines to reroute international traffic.
