Hussein Dehghan named Iran's Security Council Chief

Hossein Dehghan is reportedly being appointed as secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

Axar.az reports that this information has also been shared by Telegram channels close to the Iranian authorities.

Hossein Dehghan was born on March 2, 1957. Since 2023, he has served as head of the Mostazafan Foundation.

He previously served as Iran’s defense minister from 2013 to 2017.

The former secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, was killed on March 17 as a result of Israeli strikes.
