Trump says Macron treated ‘extremely badly’ by his wife

U.S. President Donald Trump mocked French President Emmanuel Macron, saying he is treated “extremely badly” by his wife.

Axar.az reports that speaking during a private lunch on Wednesday, Trump said he had called Macron, adding that he was “still recovering from a hit to the jaw”, referring to an incident in Vietnam in which the French president was pushed in the face.

Trump said he asked Macron for support in the Gulf. “Emmanuel, we’d love to have some help. If you could, please send ships immediately,” he recalled saying.

Imitating a French accent, Trump claimed Macron replied: “No, no, we cannot do that, Donald. We can do it after the war is won.”

“I said, ‘No, I don’t need it after the war is won, Emmanuel,’” Trump added.
