Protesters are looting shops amid ongoing unrest in France.

Axar.az reports, citing French media, that stores belonging to major brands, including Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss and Galeries Lafayette, have been among those affected by a wave of looting, vandalism and arson sweeping the country.

Apple and Hermes stores, other businesses, public buildings and vehicles have also been targeted.

According to official figures, approximately 550,000 people took part in the demonstrations. Although the vast majority of protests were peaceful, incidents of violence were reported in cities including Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Lille.
