Trump says US Navy to blockade Strait of Hormuz

Iran did not keep its promise regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports, "Tehran has failed to open the Strait of Hormuz and that this has caused “anxiety, dislocation, and pain” for countries around the world," U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He claimed Iran may have placed mines in the water and described the situation as a threat to international shipping, calling for the waterway to be opened “fast.”

Trump also stated that the U.S. Navy would begin taking action in response, including “the process of BLOCKADING any and all ships trying to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz,” while also warning that vessels paying what he described as “illegal tolls” to Iran would be targeted.

He further said he had been briefed on recent negotiations held in Islamabad, involving U.S. and Pakistani officials, and reiterated that Iran would not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

"They want money and, more importantly, they want Nuclear. Additionally and, at an appropriate moment, we are fully “LOCKED AND LOADED,” and our Military will finish up the little that is left of Iran!"
