Lavrov: West trying sets rules in Caucasus, Central Asia

The West is trying to impose its own rules in the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

Axar.az informs that Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this during a press conference in Beijing.

“There is an interesting geopolitical struggle unfolding in Central Asia due to attempts by the West to impose its own rules here as well,” the minister stressed.

Lavrov added that Western countries are trying to play a leading role in imposing their way of organizing life in the region, as well as their vision of which countries should be chosen for building relations. According to the foreign minister, the same is also happening in the countries of the South Caucasus.
