Israel and Lebanon agree to 10-day ceasefire

Israel and Lebanon have agreed to begin a 10-day ceasefire.

Axar.az reports that U.S. President Donald Trump stated on his Truth Social account that he held talks with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the two leaders agreed to begin a formal 10-day ceasefire starting at 5 p.m. EST on Tuesday.

He added that the agreement followed meetings between the two countries in Washington, D.C., where U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was also involved in the discussions.

According to Trump, he has directed U.S. officials, including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, to work with both sides to achieve a lasting peace.
